This kit holds both articles: AIR Control Display (ACD-57), AIR Com (AC-1), and a mounting bracket to connect both units into a single block.
AIR Avionics combines German engineering and certified manufacturing to produce the ACD-57— an ultra-compact multi-function display that is an altimeter, and a COMM and transponder controller. ACD-57 is designed by AIR Avionics' certified development team, where every knob, every line of code, and every pixel is designed by pilots. With decades of experience in Europe, over 30,000 systems deployed, and a strong emphasis on intuitive design, pilot workload reduction, and excellent customer support, AIR Avionics builds trust every day.
AIR COM (AC-1) is our next-generation radio module built for small aircraft. It offers impressive sound and advanced functions in a small, lightweight form factor. In fact, AIR COM is the world’s lightest and most compact, fully TSO-certified radio.
It sports modern functions like the incredible “Say Again” replay function and separate volumes for the DUAL/MON and the primary channel.
With its ultra-low weight and size, robust design, and unique functions, AC-1 is ideal for light sport aircraft. Its clear sound makes it a perfect backup COMM in larger aircraft. As it draws very little power and runs for hours on small batteries, it is also suitable for aircraft without an electrical system.
AIR COM can be installed directly on an AIR Control Display (ACD-57) or remotely with a cable and mount. Through the ACD‑57 display, pilots can select active/standby frequencies using large, high‑legibility letters and pushbuttons. The integration with modern EFIS provides even more installation flexibility.
Manufactured in Germany in AIR Avionics' PART-21 approved production facility and backed by a two‑year warranty, AIR Avionics' award-winning customer support, a quick exchange programme, and PART‑145 certified repairs, AT-2 integrates into a proven ecosystem that is trusted by pilots worldwide.
Depending on installation, the interface automatically adapts: when controlling only a radio, it shows active/standby frequencies in huge letters; when a transponder is connected, it displays the squawk code in large digits along with mode (e.g. ALT) and flight level. Altimeter mode shows a tape‑style indication with a fine vertical resolution. You can combine any of these three functions on a single ACD, making it the most space-saving, fully TSO-certified solution on the market. Its unique functions include GPS-based functions like a database‑driven “NEAREST” list of COMM stations and station names for easy identification of tuned-in frequencies. Four pushbuttons and a large dual rotary knob make the operation easy, even in the most turbulent conditions and when wearing gloves.
To enhance the core functionsailty of ACD-57, add-on functions can be purchased. In addition to AIR Avionics' own radios and transponders, ACD‑57 supports third‑party systems. It plays well with leading compact-class COMM and Transponder systems by uAvionix, TRIG, FUNKE, Becker, and TQ. Additionally, ACD-57 can be connected to flight decks and EFIS systems for external control. All these interfaces, combined with the ability to install any number of connected ACD-57 in an aircraft, make this little device a true cockpit powerhouse.
